Booted out. You could hear the planes leaving (to bomb Iraq) in the last frame. Not to mention the reporter’s solemn face when he handed her the notice at the end. Had his government been booted out, she would have let out a shriek of joy!

Great review, completely agree with you. I also enjoy the fact that it was filmed in front of a live audience, and that it relies on acting, not fancy sets or special effects.

Point of correction (and I agree the film was poor) the director made the film with practical effects, not CGI. I thought the drama story was ham-fisted, unsubtle and irritating. The shots were good tho and representative of a film with a much higher budget I thought.

Also, no child that age is that eloquent (son), or childish (daughter).

So, what happened? Was Tom left in power or booted out? I agree, the show should have had more episodes to more fully flesh things out. It was confusing at times and too many issues were left unresolved. Great cast though.

C’mon mate! Say what you really think! Here’s the thing. Some things in life just ain’t for everybody. You could probably write a damning review of a cheeseburger, talking how idiotic and pathetic it is to mince up a great steak and make a ball of meat that looks like a giant testicle and then fry it with onions! FOR GOD”S SAKE! AND THINK OF THE COW!!! THE POOR COW!!!! But you ain’t gonna stop people eating cheeseburgers, because they’re great, they’re tasty, the way the grease slides down your chin and the artery-clogging melted cheese ( you melt! ) wraps itself around the fried greasy meat. OHHHH YES!!!! And the Footsoldier movies are exactly the same. They aren’t for you, but they are for others, and there are excellent men & women out there, myself and my highly intelligent lady included, who love this film. If you can watch this film and not see the effort put in by all involved in making an entertaining, fast-paced, rude, lewd and violent FANTASY, made for its loving audience who come back for more, a film that spent over a month at the #1 spot on the iTunes indie movie charts, then you’re not a good critic, you’re not even a balanced critic, you’re just a troll. Excellent movie. Very strong performances from the cast. Good use of slow-motion cam. Gripping story line. Probably one of the best war movies. Nothing hilarious about it, apart from the dubbing with American accents. The Russians had it extremely tough, fighting against the better-equipped and prepared Germans.

I’ve just watched this movie today (12/04/2020), being born in 1968 i remember seeing this as a child and loved it and today i got to relive some memories, after watching the movie i googled some of the actors and found that Marc Granger and Garry Miller never really did anything else does anyone know what happened to them. Did they give up acting, move away or (hopefully not) pass away at a young age. I know Lynne Frederick did do more movies before passing away at 39 and Rosalyn Landor carried on acting until 2015 (she actually appeared in an episode of star trek the next gen), so i was just wondering about the two lads?
