Combining elements of shoegaze, indie-rock and grunge, HAVVK are able to make their own haunting euphoria that is undeniably compelling. The Irish alternative rock trio released their debut album Cause & Effect on 22nd November and it’s hauntingly beautiful. Front woman Julie Hawk’s vocals are reminiscent of The Cranberries vocalist Dolores O’Riordan.

Today sees the release of the video for the record’s debut single ‘Operate’.
Of the track, Julie explains, “‘Operate’ is about someone who is living moment-to-moment without really checking in with themselves. It’s about somebody caught up in productivity, pressures and commitments but has lost sight of why. I have definitely spun into this way of living before, and at times it’s effected my health, my relationships and my perspective on where I should be putting my energy.”

This is a definitely a band to keep your eye on. Check out the video for ‘Operate’ below:
