Three of the biggest rock bands in the world have announced a massive co-headlining stadium tour. The “Hella Mega Tour” is presented by Harley-Davidson and will take Green Day, Fall Out Boy, and Weezer across Europe, the UK, and North America in the summer of 2020. The tour reveal is accompanied by a trio of wacky promotional videos, as well as single and album announcements from all three bands. It kicks off in Paris next June and will also feature the Los Angeles ska punk band The Interrupters as special guests.
In celebration of the tour, Green Day have shared the adrenaline shot “Father of All…” which is the first single from their thirteenth album of the same name, to be released February 7, 2020 through Reprise/Warner. ‘Father of All…’ will be the first Green Day album since 2016’s ‘Revolution Radio’. In addition to the joint tour, Green Day will also be playing a series of solo dates next year.
Fall Out Boy have also released a new single, a similarly upbeat surf-influenced rocker called “Dear Future Self (Hands Up)” featuring Wyclef Jean. The song is slated to appear on the band’s new album ‘Greatest Hits: Believers Never Die – Volume 2’ which is set for an Island/Virgin EMI release later this year on November 15.
The ever-prolific Weezer have also announced a new album called ‘Van Weezer’ for a tentative release on May 15, 2020, and shared “The End of the Game,” a welcome return to their classic power pop roots. This will follow up this year’s two Weezer albums, the covers record the ‘Teal Album’ and the all-original ‘Black Album.’
Presale tickets will be available to American Express Card Members starting at 10am on Tuesday, September 17. Everyone else will be able to purchase tickets through Ticketmaster starting Friday, September 20.
