AEW News: OWE Talents Booked, ‘Casino Battle Royale’, and Updated Card for “Double or Nothing”

Oriental Wrestling Entertainment (OWE) have finalized their representatives to face SoCal Uncensored at this month’s All Elite Wrestling Double Or Nothing event on May 25 in Las Vegas, Nevada as part of their six-man tag match. CIMA’s partners to take on Frankie Kazarian, Christopher Daniels and Scorpio Sky will be T-Hawk and El Lindaman.

In the last edition of “Being The Elite”, it was also announced that the Over the Budget Battle Royale will be renamed the Casino Battle Royale. This goes far beyond a simple name change, as the match in question will involve various stipulations. This 21-man battle royal will start with 5 men. From there, a wave of 5 competitors will make their way to the ring in 3-minute intervals.

The final competitor, dubbed “Lucky 21,” will enter the match solo. Entry numbers will be made at a later date. It hasn’t been made official who will enter at certain numbers. AEW Executive Vice-President Cody announced that the winner will receive a prize.

This weekend, at Southern Honor Wrestling show in Canton, Georgia, Cody announced bilateral amputee indie wrestler Dustin Thomas, who has no legs, as the newest entrant in the Double of Nothing’s Casino Battle Royale.

Dustin Thomas stunned the wrestling world when he made his debut last September, seemingly coming in from the audience and proceeded to wow the audience with his athleticism. He got his first major national exposure at Joey Janela’s Spring Break 3 and has since become one of the new sensations of 2019.

Here’s the updated Double Or Nothing card, that will air only on PPV:

  • Casino Battle Royale: Sonny Kiss vs. Kip Sabian vs. Brandon Cutler vs. Ace Romero vs. Glacier vs. Brian Pillman Jr. vs. Sunny Daze vs. MJF vs. Joey Janela vs. Chuck Taylor vs. Trent Baretta vs. Dustin Thomas vs. TBA
