After fifteen seasons of chasing down demons and other paranormal nasties, The CW is bringing Supernatural to an end.
Hey #SPNFamily here’s a little message from @JensenAckles @mishacollins and me. I’m so grateful for the family that’s been built because of the show. Excuse me while i go cry. pic.twitter.com/QDXDsAyIfK

Jared Padalecki broke the news on Twitter accompanied by co-stars Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins, thanking fans of the series for their love of the Winchester brothers and all things horror fantasy.
In between fighting demons, monsters, ghosts, angels, leviathans, more demons, an angel that had become God and a variety of other supernatural entities, the adventures of Sam and Dean Winchester had seen an ill-fated spin-off series, Supernatural: Bloodlines, and an innovative foray into anime. There’s been role-playing games, novels and comic book series, along with a healthy slew of questionable fan fiction that was referenced in the series itself.
Both brooding brothers have been to hell and back over fifteen seasons and there’s no doubt that its final run will see the Winchesters and Castiel go out on a high.
