With the band’s long awaited Black album not far away, Weezer have decided to give us something to tide us over until the albums release on March 1st. That something is the Teal album. The cover is, you guessed it, teal with the band looking somewhere less than serious and the track list is adorned with covers.
While still a surprise the release makes perfect sense off the back of the bands viral cover of Toto’s Africa which is present on the album. Other artists covered on the album include Michael Jackson, A-Ha, Tears For Fears, The Eurythmics, Black Sabbath and more. It’s an eclectic bunch of covers that will surely be an interesting listen through the bands viewpoint and sound.
The album is available everywhere (HERE) now with the Black album coming March 1st. The band are also getting busy touring with the Pixies and headlining dates of their own with a notable Brixton Academy show June 29th. They’re even playing festivals this summer too!
