NEVER Openweight Championship: Hirooki Goto (c) vs Taichi

Taichi stalled for about 3 minutes and Goto sat down.  Lot of Suzuki Gun BS as Kanemaru is out with Taichi to interfere and we brawl in the crowd to start.  When we get back in it’s Goto on top.  They trade strikes, kicks and clotheslines until a head kick and lariat get Taichi a 2 count.  The pants are off!  Goto takes control though and he locks Taichi in a sleeper.  As Taichi starts to fade he grabs hold of the ref and causes a ref bump.  Kanemaru is joined by Despy in beating Goto down until Roppongi 3K show up to run them off.  Ushigoroshi and Shouten Kai by Goto who pins Taichi despite there being no ref, Goto did get a visual pinfall here.  Lizuka also arrives and distracts the ref, Taichi hits a low blow,  gets 2, superkick, last ride ALSO 2! Goto not staying down.  But Taichi hits the Air raid Crash for the win.  This was atrocious, they barely wrestled and it was nothing but Suzuki Gun nonsense when they did.

Winner: Taichi Rating: 2 out of 10

Main Event- Tetsuya Naito vs Minoru Suzuki

Shock Horror as Suzuki attacks before the bell.  The action spilled to the floor, as is expected.  Action on the floor is good as there is a real intensity to the action.  They briefly come back in, only to go back to the floor.  Then it turned into the Hi No Kuni match as “Suzuki worked over the knee.  And this match became a copy of the New Beginning match against Okada.  The difference is Naito’s comebacks lacked any fire” There were brief comeback spots but nothing to write home about “This match required Naito to show fire whenever he managed to escape a submission.  We didn’t really get that.  For a match that was looking so good, it lost it’s way and never got back on track.  The match doesn’t have much to it other than Naito escapes a submission and hits the Destino to win.  I didn’t like this at all. ”
