King Princess releases debut EP ‘Make My Bed’

‘Make My Bed’, the debut EP from rising artist King Princess, is out now on Mark Ronson’s Zelig Records (the label’s first release). The EP features breakout single ‘1950’, which has seen King Princess surpass 100 million early streams, be named Radio 1’s Track of the Week, and receive widespread acclaim from the likes of Harry Styles, The xx’s Romy Madley Croft, Charli XCX and Tegan & Sara.

The ‘Make My Bed’ EP also features second song ‘Talia’, as well as three previously unheard tracks all written and produced by King Princess.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, King Princess is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer. The product of a musical family, she spent much of her childhood tinkering on the vintage Neve board in her father’s Brooklyn studio Mission Sound, learning instrumentation along the way. At 11 she turned down a record deal in favour of finishing school, which eventually led her to USC’s Thornton School of Music for college. She studied there for a year with legendary pianist and singer Patrice Rushen before leaving USC to pursue music full time. King Princess now plays her first ever live shows this summer, which are selling out in mere minutes and will be followed by news of further dates and release plans soon.
