Wanting to create something addressing the #MeToo Movement, punk cabaret queen of cheek Amanda Palmer and jazz/folk delight Jasmine Power teamed up to produce the orchestrally thrilling piece that is ‘Mr. Weinstein Will See You Now.’

The title, for which Palmer received Rose McGowan‘s blessing to use, only alludes to the lyrical substance. Writing about such subject matter could be considered a delicate operation, and in this case the rocky terrain was expertly navigated through. Exquisite vocals from the duo do not disappoint as they highlight the struggling inner monologue of a woman faced with an all too common situation. On some level, it even plays with the meaning of choice.

The composition inspires goosebumps from the get go as the scene is set. It is unquestionably beautiful and unequivocally stunning – emotionally raw with just the right amount of subtlety.

Palmer and Power were accompanied by Sketch & Dodds on Piano and Earl Maneein and Jennifer DeVore of Seven Suns Quartet on Cello and Violin respectively. If you would like to learn more about this track, or are curious about the lyrics, you can visit the Patreon page that helped birth this gem.

The track is available for purchase over on Palmer’s Bandcamp page right now, 100% of the digital sales of this song up until June 30th are going to be donated to TimesUp legal defense fund.
