2000Trees is the best place to find your new favorite band, Turbowolf also have some pretty good ideas about who to watch so we caught up with them for a chat about returning, music and whats next:

Hello Turbowolf, welcome back, how’s it going?
It’s going good! Glad to be back.

How has your 2018 been so far?
We’ve put out our 3rd album and played some of the best shows we’ve ever played. So 2018 so far has been very great.

What can we expect from your set at this year’s 2000Trees, are there any surprises in store?
Expect us to play some of your favourite Turbowolf songs in a semi-professional and pleasing order. I hadn’t thought of any surprises but now I will. Please act surprised when we surprise you with a surprise.

How hard is it to balance a set list with so many fan favourites to squeeze in?
It’s so difficult being so popular. When will this infernal adulation end?! But really…yeah it’s becoming trickier the more bangers we have. It’s a great problem to have!

Do you have any top tips for this year’s line up?
Here’s a list of the bands I think will be good to see, in no particular order…
At The Drive-In, Blood Red Shoes, Ho99o9, Nova Twins, Queen Kwong.

What does the rest of the festival season have in store for you?
Playing festivals in UK and Europe mainly. With some secret stuff in between. Shhhh.

You returned heroically this year with The Free Life this year, what prompted this?
We’ve been writing The Free Life ever since we finished touring the last album. Once we finished it we thought we’d release it. Like heroes.

This release continued to expand your sound, how hard is it to create such technical chaos?
Quite hard. Making this album was a massive undertaking which we had to not only wrestle with the technicalities but also our minds. Both were in chaos by the end.

Can you give us any clues to what is going to happen next, have you started planning tours, releases or anything?
We’re going to the US in a few weeks to tour with Royal Blood which should be a load of fun. After that, more festivals. After that, well we’ll see.

Where do we find out more and pick up some records?
