Courtney Barnett releases the second single from upcoming second studio album Tell Me How You Really Feel

‘Nameless, Faceless’, the first single from the Australian singer/songwriter’s new record, gave us a tune full of her punk-rock roots with a punch of feminism, and now she’s delivered yet another relatable and honest track in the form of ‘Need a Little Time’. From the get go, it’s clear Barnett is leading us into a new direction while keeping true to her roots.

Allowing her voice to be the star, ‘Need a Little Time’ bounces along with some beautifully crafted lyrics like, “shave your head to see how it feels, emotionally it’s not that different, but to the hand it’s beautiful” and “everybody wants to have their say, forever waiting for some car crash”. The video that accompanies the song, allows a contrast to an emotional track, with whimsy and fun. Check it out below.

Tell Me How You Really Feel will be released on May 18th via Marathon Artists and Barnett’s own label Milk! Records.
