WWE just announced that Bayley would not be able to compete at SummerSlam for the RAW Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss. And according to Pro Wrestling Sheet, The Revival’s Scott Dawson suffered a bicep injury that would sideline him too for The Biggest Event of the Summer.
Dawson’s injury is said to have happened during this weekend live events. He was spotted on Saturday live event in Saint John, NB, coming to the ring with his right arm heavily wrapped. Recovery could happen in three to six weeks if the injury is a minor one. But if surgery was required, four to six months would be necesary.
The Revival were said to be set to compete at SummerSlam in a match involving The Hardy Boyz but, even if it was not officially announced, the match may be off the table. The Revival has been getting a renewed push on RAW as their initial push was stopped earlier this year when Dash Wilder fractured his jaw.
During her match with Nia Jax last week on RAW, Bayley suffered an injury to her right shoulder. After being evaluated by WWE medical personnel, the diagnosis was inconclusive due to the amount of swelling involved.A new evaluation took place today in Toronto, where RAW is going be live from, and Bayley has been diagnosed with a separated shoulder.
The extent of the injury is unknown as a possible return date. But before WWE confirmed the injury, the RAW preview was quoting, “Based on what we have seen, it doesn’t seem likely that The Huggable One will be getting back into the ring anytime soon.”
Bayley will come to the ring tonight to address her condition tonight, live on RAW. And at the same time, a new challenger for the Women’s Championship will be determined. General Manager Kurt Angle announced that two Triple Threat Matches will be held tonight. The winner of these 2 matchs will compete next week to determine who will be Bliss’ opponent at SummerSlam.
Based on the RAW female Superstar roster, Sasha Banks, Nia Jax, Dana Brooke, Mickie James, Emma and Alicia Fox are expected to be the participants of these Triple Threat matchs. But a surprise wrestler could easily come back or make her main roster debut and grab a spot for the Biggest Event of the Summer (don’t forget to read our RAW review tomorrow to stay tuned).
