Beth Phoenix Natalya Hall of Fame

WWE News: Natalya to Induct Beth Phoenix into the Hall of Fame

For Beth Phoenix, there was no one better to induct her into the Hall of Fame than Natalya. A close friend and former tag team partner she considers as ‘the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be”, as she notes on Twitter.

Natalya stated on WWE.com announcement that nobody deserved to be in the Hall of Fame more than Beth Phoenix as she was a pioneer for women’s division. “Beth did extraordinary things for women in WWE”, she added.

Inside and outside the ring, Natalya and Beth Phoenix has always been friends. Training together, riding together, and also wrestling together. As the Divas of Doom, around 2011, Phoenix and Natalya became the anti-Divas, opposed to the “Barbie-doll” standards of WWE.

With the Glamazon gimmick, Beth Phoenix embodied a combination of strength, power and beauty. Even if she was bigger, more muscular and dominant than any other Diva of the division at that time, she climbed the steps of stardom her very own way.

Beth Phoenix is widely seen as the precursor of the current Women’s Revolution that allowed WWE “Divas” to finally be considered as the true “Superstars” they are. As strong and fierce as male wrestlers can be.

WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017 also includes Kurt Angle, Theodore Long, The Rock’n Roll Express, Diamond Dallas Page, “Ravishing” Rick Rude and former football player Eric Le Grand as recipient of the Warrior Award.

WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on Friday, March 31, at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, during Wrestlemania 33 week-end. It will be broadcasted live on WWE Network.
