Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Jungle Book) took to Twitter to announce two new cast members for the upcoming live-action remake of Disney’s The Lion King. James Earl Jones, who voiced Simba’s father Mufasa in the 1994 original, will reprise the role in the remake and Donald Glover will play Simba.

The live-action remake of The Lion King is one of many live-action remakes/reimaginings of classic Disney movies that are in the works, such as Mulan, Dumbo and, of course, Beauty and the Beast, which is set to come out March 17th this year in the UK.

Like The Jungle Book, The Lion King remake will make use of the songs from the original film and will be a mix of live-action and CGI. There is no set release date for it as of yet.
