The first wave of bands have been announced for next years Handmade Festival. Twin Atlantic, Frightened Rabbit, British Sea Power, Pulled Apart By Horses, Honeyblood, JAWS, Muncie Girls, Tigercub, Puppy and Idles will descend on Leicester on April 29th and 30th to play one of the UK’s leading totally independant festivals.

Leicester’s O2 Academy will play host to two days of the finest music, comedy, art, film, performance and photography, hand-picked and carefully curated by the cities venues and promoters.

2017 will also mark the festival’s 5th anniversary, having seen bands like We Are Scientists, Toy, Rolo Tomasi, Nine Black Alps, Future of the Left, Lonely The Brave and Deaf Havana play the festival since its inception in 2013.

Co-organiser and festival founder John Helps, said “It feels so good to finally get this announcement out into the world. Handmade has grown every year since we started it in 2013, but this feels like our biggest step to date as we move into the main room of O2 Academy Leicester, as well as the many other spaces around the Academy and Attenborough Arts Centre. We could not be more excited about the line-up, and this is just a flavour of what you can expect across the two days.”

Many more acts performing across multiple stages are to be announced.

Tickets start at £40 for adults and for the first time the festival is able to offer tickets at £30 for students and £20 for under 16s. For full ticket info, click here.
