Phil ‘Wizzö’ Campbell, ex-guitarist of Motorhead, blew the speaker’s off the stage in London last week with his all-star band, Phil Cambell and The Bastard Sons. The Bastards performed an adrenaline filled show with a mixture of covers, from likes of Motorhead and Black Sabbath.

Supporting The Bastards were London rock’n’roll band, Dedwardians. Despite having a stage presence that consisted of lead vocalist, Paul Gautrey, often having his back towards the audience, their heavy guitars and bass set the tone for the evening.

Phil Campbell and The Bastard Sons hit the stage hard with their original songs ‘Spiders’ and ‘Big Mouth’, before treating the attending metal heads with some classics, including the adrenaline thrilled ‘Ace of Spades’.

Capturing these guys on camera was an awesome experience – their sound was a rich blend of of classic heavy metal and energy that showed that there is still a place for it in ‘modern’ alternative/rock music. The audience reaction was further proof that these guys can still inspire the hearts of true fans of the genre.
