Christmas will be arriving early this year, after the announcement that Nine Inch Nails will be be releasing a new EP – just a few days before Baby Jee’s birthday.

Not The Actual Events EP, which appears to just involve Trent Reznor and long time collaborator, Atticus Ross, will be available via the official NIN website next Friday, December 23rd.

In a press release, Reznor says about the new EP; “It’s an unfriendly, fairly impenetrable record that we needed to make. It’s an EP because that ended up being the proper length to tell that story.”

The release of Not The Actual Events EP will round off a year in which Reznor and Ross sent some music to Jupiter and provided the score for the climate change documentary, Before The Flood.

In addition, there will also be a limited edition vinyl re-issue of their 1999 album, The Fragile, featuring 37 bonus tracks. Named The Fragile: Deviations 1, it’s part of a whole re-issue series, featuring The Broken EP and The Downward Spiral. Pre-orders are available now via the bands official store.
