Oxford pop punk merchants Better Than Never have released a brand new video for ‘Learning to Swim’. The most recent single to be taken from their forthcoming EP Head Under Water, both the track and video portray concepts of anger and frustration – represented by Coast to Coast’s Keiran Hyland destroying a MacBook and “riding a bike into a swimming pool”.
Guitarist and vocalist Will Keating says, “We ended up filming the video ourselves. It ended up feeling really personal to us and reflects the personality of the band.”

Following their February debut Homemade Hero, Head Under Water sees the band’s lyrical themes treading into darker territory. Vocalist James Harris says, “Head Under Water covers the idea of how dealing with depression and anxiety can sometimes just feel like you are drowning in a sea of hopelessness.” Keating also adds, “This song does well to encompass the feel of the EP as a whole. It’s about feeling sad and not knowing how to get out of that rut to make things better. Being in that state sucks, but it’s okay because you’re not alone.”
