Emilia Clarke, best known for her role as Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, First of her name, the Unburnt, Queen of Meereen, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons in HBO’s Game of Thrones has been cast in the upcoming, as-of-yet untitled Han Solo movie!

She joins the likes of Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover, who will be playing a young Han Solo and Lando Calrissian, respectively. Clarke’s role has not yet been revealed.

The untitled Han Solo movie is the second in the planned anthology series dubbed “A Star Wars Story” that’s set apart from the main series – the first is the upcoming Rogue One. Like Rogue One, the Han Solo movie will take place before the original trilogy, focusing on the adventures of a young Han Solo before he met Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Chewbacca has also been confirmed to be in the movie, and it is likely that Star Wars The Force Awakens actor Joonas Suotamo will reprise the role.

Directed by Christopher Miller and Phil Lord and written by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan, the untitled Han Solo anthology movie is scheduled to be released on May 25, 2018.
