Did the hysteria around Pokémon‘s 20th anniversary, specifically Pokémon Go, make you dream of reliving your childhood? Playing the games again? Maybe even… watching the television series?
That is, until you realised that there are 936 episodes out there (in Japan, that is, us westerners have only reached episode #918 thus far) and ain’t nobody got time for that.

Well, the Pokémon Company, as always, has got you covered.

This Friday, a new series, Pokémon Generations, begins airing on YouTube. Consisting of episodes of around 3-5 minutes in length, the show will be uploaded on a weekly basis to the Pokémon Generations YouTube channel until December 23rd.

According to pokemon.com:
The new animated series Pokémon Generations revisits each generation of the Pokémon video game series to shed new light on some timeless moments. From the earliest days in the Kanto region to the splendor of the Kalos region, go behind the scenes and witness Pokémon history with new eyes.

In the trailer below, we catch a glimpse of the Pokémon League, Legendary and Shiny Pokémon, and Red; the avatar from the original games, who looks to be a prominent character in a series.

Pokémon Generations starts this Friday, the 16th of September, on YouTube.
