Dillinger Escape Plan Unleash Latest Single ‘Symptom Of Terminal Illness’

The end is fast approaching for Dillinger Escape Plan. After last month’s announcement that up-coming new album, Dissociation, would be their ‘last’, fan’s of the progressive metalcore giants have been preparing themselves for the big goodbye.

But don’t expect Ben Weinman and co to go out with a whimper. After sharing single ‘Limerent Death’, full of that signature DEP erratic tech-fury, last month, the band have unleashed the second cut from Dissociation, ‘Symptom Of Terminal Illness’.

Much like ‘Unretrofied’, ‘Black Bubblegum’, ‘Widower’ and ‘One Of Us Is The Killer’ before it, ‘Symptom…’ shows that accessible side to Dillinger. Full of catchy, darkly anthemic melody; perfectly arranged to showcase Greg Puciato’s exceptional singing voice. You can check out the track, below.

On the new album, guitarist and founding member Ben Weinman says; “Dissociation represents the splitting of a molecule into smaller molecules, atoms, or ions, breaking bonds to release energy. Over the past two decades, this band has given me and my bandmates, both collectively and individually, the opportunity to experience the world in a way most could never imagine. This album is a celebration of that experience and the energy it has produced”.

Dissociation is out on October 14th via Party Smasher Inc./Cooking Vinyl. Various format and merch bundles can be pre-ordered, here.

You’ll also get your chance to say ‘Farewell, Mona Lisa Dillinger Escape Plan’ when the band embark on their final European tour in 2017. See dates, below.
