The Wrestling Forecast – 29th October to 4th September 2016

Action of note is sparse on the ground until Friday 2nd of September, when Tidal Championship Wrestling present “Come Out and Play” at the Darlington Dolphin Centre, with TCW Women’s Champion Violet O’Hara defending her title against Little Miss Roxie and Liam Lazarus facing “The Righteous” Joseph Conners in a World of Sports Rules match, which will be contested over six five minute rounds and be scheduled for two falls to a finish.

Blackpool’s Club Domain is taken over by PCW on Saturday 3rd for “Collision Course”. No matches had been announced at the time of writing, but scheduled to appear are Iestyn Rees, Dave Mastiff, Lionheart, El Ligero, Sha Samuels, T-Bone, Rampage Brown and newly crowned PCW Heavyweight Champion Noam Dar. Joining the native grapplers on the night will be two former WWE superstars in the form of former PCW Heavyweight Champion “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters and Ricardo Rodriguez.

Sunday 4th sees Pro Wrestling Pride return to the Plymouth Guildhall for “Quote the Raven – It’s Yersel”, which it doesn’t take a genius to figure out will feature the talents of former WWF, WCW, ECW and TNA icon Raven rubbing shoulders with Scotland’s own Grado. Other notable names on the card include Kazma Sakamoto of Japan’s fast rising Wrestle-1 and true legend of British wrestling “The Anarchist” Doug Williams.

Elsewhere on the 4th, IPW:UK celebrate more than a decade in the business with their 12th Anniversary Spectacular at the Angel Centre in Tonbridge. To mark the occasion, IPW:UK have enlisted the services of US technical wizard Timothy Thatcher, promising what will be the impressive American’s very last UK date in 2016. On the undercard, “Liverpool’s No.1” Zach Gibson faces “Blackbelt” Tom Dawkins, and they are joined by “Smooth” Sammy Smooth, Duggen and Donnelly and The London Riots.
