CBS Studios International has announced that the new ‘Star Trek’ TV series will be exclusively broadcast on Netflix in 188 countries (excluding the US and Canada). Each episode of the series will be available globally within 24 hours of its U.S. premiere.

In addition, all 727 episodes of previous Star Trek series, such as ‘Star Trek: The Original Series’, ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’, ‘Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’, ‘Star Trek: Voyager’, ‘Star Trek: Enterprise’ and even the ‘Star Trek: The Animated Series’ will be available on Netflix around the world by the end of 2016.

The upcoming ‘Star Trek’ TV series will begin production in Toronto in September and is set to premiere in January 2017. This marks the first time the franchise returns to the small screen since ‘Star Trek: Enterprise’ ended in 2005. The series, co-created and executive produced by Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman, will feature a new ship, new characters and new missions.

The premiere and all subsequent episodes will also be available in the United States exclusively on CBS All Access, the Network’s digital subscription video on demand and live streaming service.
