Leena Ojala Hey Ya

German born songstress (and all round mega-talent), Leena Ojala, has spent 2016 drip feeding us brand new tracks, month by month. Her April offering, the soulful, electro-pop treat, ‘Little Place’, has just been given the remix treatment by Swedish producer Saturday, Monday.

Saturday, Monday, a talented young producer in the early days of an already flourishing career, has remixed tracks for the likes of Naomi Pilgrim, Elliphant, Little Dragon, and now Leena Ojala. Hear the track, below.

Earlier this year the beautiful video for ‘Little Place’ was unveiled. Directed by Aella Jordan-Edge and shot in New York City, the video brings Leena’s probing lyrics and understated melodies to full cinematic life by exposing the heart wrenching reality of a young relationship facing major change.

Exploring a young couple’s journey as they grapple with life in a new home, thrust out of their ‘little place’ and into the city, the couple’s opposing responses – one full of wonder and curiosity, the other fearful and overwhelmed – takes us on a journey across Brooklyn Bridge, through the back alleys of Manhattan and along the sands of Jacob Riis Beach. Watch the video, below.
