Production for the 2017 Justice League movie is currently underway in London and new details have emerged thanks to a report by JoBlo.

Justice League will no longer be split into two parts as was originally planned, but will instead be a full standalone movie with a lighter tone than its predecessor, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Junkie XL will score the film after collaborating with Hans Zimmer on Dawn of Justice.

Ben Affleck’s role is executive producer is reportedly focused on overseeing the creative direction of the Batman character so that it aligns with his upcoming solo movie. To that end, Affleck confirmed that he will still be directing that solo movie and that production won’t start until the script is right.

The rest of the information revealed contains possible spoilers for Justice League and discusses the ending of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The movie will take place months after the events of Dawn of Justice, with Batman still reeling from Superman’s death and trying to assemble a team of superheroes in his memory. Bruce Wayne will be a changed man, full of hope for the future. He will build a vehicle for the Justice League called The Flying Fox, and another called The Nightcrawler, which was designed by his father. Batman will have an updated look, with a new armor so that he can keep up with his superpowered teammates.

The plot will center around the pursuit of three Mother Boxes – one from Earth, one from Atlantis (where Jason Momoa’s Aquaman resides) and one from Themyscira (home of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman). The primary villain is expected to be Steppenwolf, with a possible appearance from Darkseid and his parademons, first seen in Dawn of Justice.

Ezra Miller’s Flash will be primary source of comic relief for the movie and his initial suit will be cobbled together from various pieces of stolen technology. Ray Fisher’s Cyborg will have a costume that’s entirely CGI, unlike the practical costumes for the rest of team. Wonder Woman is expected to have the same costume as she did in Dawn of Justice.

William Dafoe will be playing Vulko, a mentor character to Aquaman, while Amber Heard’s character, Mera, is a warrior and a sorceress.

Gizmodo also has a breakdown of a few scenes from the movie that feature various interaction between the team members of the Justice League.

The movie’s official logo (featured above) has also been revealed.

Justice League is set for a November 10, 2017 release.
