Paul McCartney - Prince

If you’re going to play a massive show in Minneapolis right now, you had better hope the audience is on side. Still hurting from Prince’s passing, last nights audience at the Target Centre were treated to a fitting, rock ‘n’ roll tribute to their most beloved son, courtesy of eternal crowd pleaser Sir Paul McCartney.

The show, which the Beatles man dedicated to “the late, great Prince”, is the first of two nights in Minneapolis as part of the singers One on One world tour. “Prince, Minneapolis. It goes together” he told the sold out crowd before ending the show with a jammed out version of Purple Rain track ‘Let’s Go Crazy’. The audience did indeed go crazy. Watch the video below.

On Tuesday (May 3rd) Macca, along with Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Roger Waters and The Who were all confirmed for the new Coachella spin-off ‘mega-festival’ Desert Trip taking place in Indio, CA on October 7th, 8th and 9th.
