British actor Toby Jones (Infamous, Captain America: The First Avenger, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Hunger Games) will star in the second episode of the fourth season of BBC’s critically acclaimed series Sherlock, produced by Hartswood Films.

According to executive producer, co-creator and writer Steven Moffat, Jones will be playing “one of Doyle’s finest villains.”

The episode in question will be directed by Nick Hurran, who previously worked on the third season finale His Last Vow, for which he received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Directing in a Miniseries. Production on the episode has already started and the full three-part series will be released sometime in early 2017.

Sherlock, written and created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss is a critically-acclaimed contemporary take on the stories about the famous detective by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as a modern-day Holmes and Watson, respectively.
