The Rolling Stones, Sir Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters and The Who have just been announced to play new ‘mega-fest’ Desert Trip this October at Californaia’s Empire Polo Grounds.
Rumours had been circulating for weeks about the Coachella organisers attempting to bring together the biggest names in music for such an event. It’s now been confirmed that this October new festival Desert Trip will indeed feature some of the most iconic, influential rock n roll artists of all time and space. There’s no denying it, that is an extraordinary line-up.
Staged at the Empire Polo Grounds, Indio, CA (the home of Coachella), Desert Trip brings three-nights of performances, starting on Friday, October 7th with The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan and His Band, followed on Saturday night, October 8th by Paul McCartney and Neil Young + Promise of the Real, with the weekend coming to a close on Sunday, October 9th with Roger Waters and The Who.
