The Radiohead mystery-marketing-machine was at it again today, after the bands Instagram published a short video of Thom Yorke wandering lonely as a Ford KA (in an abandoned car park). Turns out it was a trailer for their latest video ‘Daydreaming’, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson (Boogie Nights, There Will Be Blood, The Master).
Along with the video it’s been announced that their long-awaited ninth studio album will get its digital release via XL Recordings this Sunday (May 8th), 19:00 (UK time). You’ll also be able to pre-order a physical copy at radiohead.com at the same time.
Talk about the bands first album since 2011’s King of Limbs has been circling heavily over the past week. Last weekend fans received a mysterious leaflet in the post as the bands social media outlets suddenly went offline. This was then followed on Tuesday (May 3rd) by the release of album track and accompanying video for ‘Burn The Witch‘.
You can check out the new video for ‘Daydreaming’, featuring a rather Shameless looking Thom Yorke below.
