Made up of Mancunian David Shaw and Parisian Dombrance, DBFC are emerging as one of Paris’s most intriguing new bands.
After releasing not one but two of 2015’s hidden gems; the ever so cool new-wave, electro ear worm ‘Get It All’ and smooth 90’s late-night synth-pop shuffler ‘Staying Home’, it’s been a fair wait for the first new DBFC of 2016.
That wait is finally over with the release of ‘Autonomic’, a track that sees them embracing their more dance-orientated tendencies, with their self-described brand of ‘pyschotronica’. Gone are the guitars that so subtlety touched their last two singles, but the sparking electro-beats and Beck-esq vocals remain. You can hear the new track below and check out their previous singles ‘Staying Home’ and ‘Get It All’, here.
‘Autonomic’ is out now on [PIAS] imprint Different Recordings.
If you like what you hear, you can catch them live at this years Great Escape Festival, Brighton on May 20th and 21st.
