Odonis Odonis

Ahead of the release of new album Post Plague, Toronto three-piece Odonis Odonis share latest album cut ‘Nervous’.

Blending a mix of industrial and electronic influences with a good amount of science fiction, Odonis Odonis are looking to the future on latest track ‘Nervous’. It’s a future that, according to the band, may not be as far away as we think;

“Since the beginning of human existence, mankind has obsessed with creating perfection, but the flesh will always remain flawed. We now live in an era where we can selectively post on social media and create an idealized version of ourselves to present to the world. What if you could take that one step further? What if you could be the perfect version of yourself? Take a full body image scan of yourself at your favourite age and transplant all your favourite memories into a perfect Avatar of one’s self. Sounds crazy but all of this is around the corner and things are about to speed up.”

From their Cramps-infused début Hollandaze to follow-up album, the post-punk belter Hard Boiled Soft Boiled, Odonis Odonis are a band whose sound has always showed an eclectic mix of sonic-influences. ‘Nervous’ and previously released album track ‘Needs’, however, show the band fully embracing their darker, industrial tendencies. So if you’re looking for music to add to that neo-post-apocalyptic playlist of yours, look no further.

Post Plague is out on June 17th via Felte. You can pre-order your copy here.
