The latest track from the Philly outfit’s second LP, Tired Of Tomorrow.

On May 13, Philadelphia alt rockers Nothing will return with their sophomore LP, Tired Of Tomorrow. The follow-up to 2014’s Guilty of Everything, the 10-track LP was “born out of a chain of events that forced (frontman Domenic) Palermo to drastically re-think and re-shape his perspective about both life and music”. And that’s before the band was briefly and unwillingly aligned with a label funded by noted “pharma-dick” Martin Shkreli. Those trials and tribulations resulted in a more emotionally mature and sonically diverse sound from the Philly foursome.

We’ve already heard evidence of the band’s development in two album singles, the slightly peppy ‘Vertigo Flowers’ and the driving ‘Eaten by Worms.’ Today, we get single No. 3 in the form of ‘ACD (Abcessive Compulsive Disorder)’. From note one, it’s much louder than its predecessors, with Palermo’s distinct moaning buried under a tsunami of blown-out guitars and methodical percussion. Given the record’s themes, it works quite well, and Palermo and Co. slide on toward emotional truths amid an assault of ‘90s rock fuzz. Listen in below.

‘ACD (Abcessive Compulsive Disorder)’ will be released as a limited-edition 12-inch for Record Store Day (April 16th). In celebration of RSD, Nothing will play an in-store performance at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade Records.

If you’re not in the New York area, you can still catch Nothing on tour this summer. Following a few dates in London next month, the band will trek through the U.S. in June and July. Consult the schedule below.
