Secret Cinema X went clubbing with its latest production Secret Cinema X Presents Victoria  on Saturday 26th March for a one night only special event at Ministry of Sound in London’s Elephant and Castle, ahead of its UK theatrical release this Friday 1st April.

Inspired by the multi award-winning German film Victoria (dir. Sebastian Schipper), which features a soundtrack by Nils Frahm, Secret Cinema took audiences into the heart of the club scene. Ministry of Sound was transferred into SCHWESTER, the fictional Berlin nightclub in the film. Actors mingled with a 500-strong audience who continued their night following the screening with London’s foremost underground DJs into the early Easter Sunday hours.

The exclusive event was hosted in partnership with Curzon Artificial Eye, Ministry of Sound and Berliner Pilsner

Secret Cinema X specialises in exclusive film previews and cult classic screenings worldwide. This first 2016 production highlighted international film talent for UK audiences ahead of the film’s national release, and brought a piece of Berlin to an emerging London area.

The film follows Victoria, a young Spanish ex-pat in Berlin whose chance encounter with four young Germans in a nightclub launches an epic journey into the German capital. Sebastian Schipper’s ambitious, authentic one-take sensation won the 2015 Berlin Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution for Cinematography.
