John Coffey

I’m always a huge fan of transparent, emotionally raw music as well as lyrics that have a message. John Coffey have accomplished both in this Kurt Ballou-produced (Converge, God City Studios) track ‘No House for Thee’.

The band say of the new video:

This is our new video for ‘No House For Thee’. It’s a song in which we want to make clear that when a brother or sister from afar needs help, we should offer it. The lyrics in the song can be quite harsh, being based on the tragedies which happen on our European seas. But if it represents anything at all, it is always a call for humanity. There should always be a house for those who lost their own.

And an even more important message from the band…

“We don’t want to criticise politicians or international organisations, but we want to let our heart speak: fellow human beings need proper help and a more human life. We raise our voice for humanity!

Off their upcoming EP ‘A House for Thee’ due out March 11th, I am thoroughly excited to hear what else the band have up their sleeves.
