Lionlimb are set to release their new album Shoo on 4 March via Bayonet Records. The duo, made up of songwriter Stewart Bronagh and drummer Joshua Jaeger, recently shared the single ‘Domino’.

The track is filled with an assortment of different instruments, which offers up a jazz-like vibe. Though a bit different, only the most obscure of listeners could appreciate this upbeat mismatch sound.

However, Bronagh’s airy, poignant voice is reminiscent of the late Elliott Smith. Bronaugh says of the track:

“The original voice memo of this song just kind of plods along, but when we recorded it we pepped it up and gave these drums breaks inspired by Amerie’s ‘1 Thing’, I was obsessed with that song. There’s also a lyric in there about making it to the church on time, which I totally stole from Modern Love. I don’t know what kind of music we’d be making if David Bowie hadn’t ever put out records.”

The duo will play SXSW this year to support the album Shoo. Stay tuned for a tour announcement!
