A jazzy, upbeat song that belies its moody title, Pain of Dancers is the latest offering from Daisy Victoria, forming part of her second EP.

Daisy’s sound is a modern, moody indie pop that aims to sound like PJ Harvey, lofty ambitions to be sure. Daisy’s voice is an octave or two lower than you might expect, producing a rich, sensual sound. The music itself is textured, vibrant and upbeat.

Pain of Dancers is a solid, fast paced track. The central drum beat gives it a good tempo, the vocals counterpoint them nicely and the whole effect is a solid effort by an upcoming artist. Daisy has had a fair amount of press already and she can certainly turn out a tune.

Pain of Dancers is definitely deserving of some attention.
