We may be somewhat late to the party here and chances are you’ve already seen this but let’s all look again shall we?
A Comic-Con trailer of Zack Snyder’s forthcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
We’re having mixed feelings on this one after the crushing disappointment that was Man of Steel and Zack Snyder’s general track record is mixed but the trailer teases a few things to get excited about. For starters Ben Affleck already looks very impressive as Bruce Wayne/Batman. He could easily surpass Christian Bale’s ultra-moody/unintentionally funny incarnation. Jeremy Irons is Alfred. The storyline showing Superman to be revered with God-like reverence is something unexplored in his cinematic history. That could squeeze some potentially fine drama. Elsewhere though we do get glimpses of the forthcoming Justice League that does have the potential to swamp what is surely to be a jampacked storyline already.
Not 100% sold on Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor either.
From the trailer we’re guessing what? 2 hours 45 min run time?
Let’s all find out next year.
