Out with new album “Madness” this week is Sleeping With Sirens.

Sleeping With Sirens are an American Post-Hardcore band, who have enjoyed massive popularity in the US, and the UK unsurprisingly seems to be following suit.

This latest record is the bands fourth release, but actually the first of their albums I’ve listened to. Having only heard (and liked) their singles in the past I thought I knew what to expect from the album. But I was wrong. This slice of SWS is pure emotion! I don’t even know what I was doing when I pressed play but action ceased immediately. It just had me. Until now I’ve avoiding properly listening to their back catalogue because they seem to be becoming somewhat of a band-wagon -upon which I did not want to jump- but it turns out (like most things that are) they’re popular for a reason. And ignoring both Kellin’s ridiculously beautiful little face and the general age range of their audience, they’re awesome. I’m a fan. This album is simple, sweet and poignant. It’s at parts acoustic yet it still holds elements of their post-hardcore signature.

Sleeping With Sirens are my favourite pop band from my child hood (*ahem Nsync ahem*) but they’ve picked up guitars and gotten tattoos! I sat totally gushing over this album, it’s so lovely, inoffensive and catchy. I shall listen to it lots, and now be EVEN more excited to shoot and review their live show next month.

Soon to hit our shores with Pierce The Veil on a co-headliner tour, you can check out Sleeping With Sirens live and see what you think of them for yourselves!
