The Spanish festival have announced that The Prodigy, Florence And The Machine, Portishead and home grown talent Los Planetas will be topping the bill.
The prodigy add the date to their already hectic year, exploding back onto the scene with their new record “The Day Is My Enemy” set to drop as well as a tour and Isle of Wight festival appearance. Florence’s unmistakable vocal talents will also be showcased on a highly anticipated new album this year.
Bristol veterans Portishead will keep crowds hypnotized with their melancholic, sense altering back catalogue that dates back more than 20 years. Whilst FIB show that they have not abandoned their roots with the inclusion of Los Planetas, the Spanish indie pioneers will be a celebrated announcement for any local festival goers.
There will also be appearances from the iconic Mancunian, Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds, following the release of their second album. As well as social commentary in the form of hip hop legends, Public Enemy.
In its third decade of existence, Festival Director Melvin Benn has spoke of his hopes for the new era of Benicassim.
“The third decade represents the real start for me and, as well as a stellar line up of Main and Second stage acts we are announcing today. I’m also very keen to highlight the new areas of the festival we are developing this year, Trenchtown and Bearded Kitten. New and fresh ideas and areas to reset the bar for Spanish festival in the same way the Moran brothers did in 1995. The FIB 2015 Benicassim is the future.”
