Warner Bros have released the final trailer for ‘Rurouni Kenshin 2: Kyoto Inferno’ released at select cinemas on the 28th November.
If you’re unfamiliar with the franchise it’s a live action version of the hugely popular manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki. Kenshin Himura (Takeru Satoh) is a legendary swordsman and once national hero. Now he wanders looking to be of service to those in need. He is summoned before Home Minster Toshmichi Okubo (Kazufumi Miyazawa) that Kenshin’s successor in the government who was thought to be dead is alive and plotting a coupe in Kyoto. Kenshin must battle against this evil power-hungry foe with all his warrior skills.
Kyoto Inferno is the first part in the final installment of the Ruroni Kenshin series. So far it’s earned $38.5 millions in Japan making it the biggest release of 2014. The film took six months to shoot, 3 billion yen to make, an a cast of 5,000 extras it’s an action film of epic proportions in the very real sense of the word.
