Edgar Wright may be sadly gone after nearly a decade’s worth of development but the Marvel Studio machine is hard at work getting Ant-Man in cinemas for its July 2015 release date.
Now, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, Marvel have revealed the first piece of poster art created specifically for the San Diago Comic-Con where the film is hotly tipped to one of the events big draws.
The artwork showcases the full Ant-Man costume and shows Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas in heroic silhouette mode. Originally designed as pre-production concept art it serves as a fine teaser. Peyton Reed, you know, the man who directed ‘The Break Up’ and ‘Bring It On’ takes over from Wright’s very big Side-Show Bob sized shoes to direct. Adam McKay known for huge Will Ferrell vehicles ‘Anchorman’ and ‘Talladega Nights’ is re-tooling a script originally written by Wright and Joe Cornish.
‘Ant-Man’ will feature Rudd as thief Scott Lang who steals the Ant-Man suit from inventor and original man of Ant, Hank Pym. What starts out as a heist movie will no doubt become a tale of having great power then having to be responsible with it or something or other…
