Tom Hardy to join BBC Gangster Drama

Tom Hardy is set to join the second series of BBC Birmingham Gangster show Peaky Blinders. The Hollywood star joins a cast that already boasts the likes of Cillian Murphy, Sam Neill, Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Joe Cole and Andy Nyman. The show revolves around the titular criminal association, best know for blinding their adversaries with the razor blades lined in their flat caps.

Opening at the weekend Hardy is starring in Locke, a film written and directed by Steven Knight – creator of Peaky Blinders – about a Welsh construction worker travelling to a destination that – once he gets there – will destroy him and the ones that he loves.

Peaky Blinders is set to return sometime this year.
