Hannah Scott – Still Static (EP Review)

Hannah Scott – Still Static (EP Review)

Hannah  Scott combines a beguiling guitar melody with a catchy vocal hook that conspires to steal your concentration and be the sole focus of your attention. Her songs, pop melodies with introspective folksy lyrics, burrow their way into the back of your mind and make themselves at home. As guests they prove to be more resident than transient .

With a confident yet delicate voice, dreamy but focused, she sings memorable lyrics (perhaps more for the melody than the content)that create an ethereal haze reminiscent of Jeff Buckly by way of Neil Finn. A pleasant day dream sung and played with unquestioning conviction.

An assured and accomplished debut, one that gives you the belief that Hannah Scott has the strength to succeed and get stronger as her experience grows.
