New Music: Two Inch Punch – Moonstruck

Ben Ash already gained the spotlight last year with his debut EP Love You Up’ and now the electronic producer better known as Two Inch Punch is back with a brand new EP ready to assert himself further as an innovative producer within the British music scene.

The new EP consists of 5 sensational tracks which all complement each other incredibly well despite being quite individually diverse. The sound of ‘Saturn: The Slow Jams’ as a whole shows a distinct progression from Two Inch Punch’s original Hip Hop influences and last year’s acclaimed ‘Love You Up’ EP.  Instead ‘Saturn: The Slow Jams’ mixes futuristic sounding electronic beats, slick R n B influences and melodic vocals to create a wonderfully unique sound.

As an enticing taster, Two Inch Punch have also just released a music video for a track from the new EP called ‘Moonstruck’. The video was directed by Matt Cronin, faultlessly cut and edited with precision to mirror the transcendent repetitive beat and the harmonious lyrics mixed within the track.  All the clips used to portray the emotive love story narrative were taken from the 1968 space film ‘Barbarella’ which completely reflects the songs futuristic spacey sound whilst also adding a nostalgic late 60s early 70s vibe to it. The video is abstract, humorous and soulful which works well as a really great visual representation of the song as a whole.

Saturn: The Slow Jams EP is to be released June 25th on PMR Records.
