Cambridge Folk Festival adds King Charles, Nanci Griffith and more to line-up


Cambridge Folk Festival already boasts the likes Billy Bragg, Joan Armatrading, Angelique Kidjo and Seth Lakemen on its main stage.  Now it has announced that James Vincent McMorrow, Nanci Griffith, Steve Tilston, The Destroyers, Naomi Bedford, The Destroyers, Lucy Ward and Pilgrim’s Way will also be playing.

On The Den stage – reserved for the brightest emerging talent – are King Charles, Skinny Lister, Liz Green and Moulettes.  King Charles will play an acoustic set, and follows in the footsteps of previous artists such as Newton Faulkner and Karine Polwart, who were also previously hand-picked by the festival as future folk stars.

Cambridge Folk Festival is highly regarded as Europe’s most famous celebration of all varieties of folk music.  It takes place from 26-29 June 2012 in the grounds of Cherry Hinton Hall.  For more information visit
