Saddo is a Romanian artist, street artist and illustrator who has recently returned to Bucharest after a year and a half in Berlin.

He learned the basics of drawing at the University of Arts in Cluj-Napoca, in Romania, but feels his first major step towards becoming the artist he is today was when he first discovered street art. He quickly formed a street ar collective called The Playground.

As the work he’s given us show he like to jump between colourful and pyschedelic but also the dark and monochrome.

Saddo names AITCH, Hyeronimus Bosch, Pieter Brueghel, Vanitas paintings, the portraits of Giuseppe Arcimboldo as some of his major influences.

His works have been shown in many exhibitions around the world in cities including Berlin, Bucharest, Montreal, Ottawa, Los Angeles, New York, San Jose, Copenhagen, Vienna and Glasgow.

His next show as part of a group show will be in Couture Galleri in Stockholm. He is also planning a small show in Bucharest together with AITCH, and a bigger one in Cluj-Napoca, together with some other Romanian artists and illustrators.
