Ring of Honor “NYC Excellence” Card and “Best of the World” News

After a successful 3-day Honor United tour in the UK, Ring of Honor is back in the USA for a new PPV this Sunday. As announced previously, CMLL Luchadores Ultimo Guerrero and Titan will make their comeback with ROH at NYC Excellence at the legendary Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

As we told you, Ultimo Guerrero and Dalton Castle have had a long history together and, as Castle has survived injuries and adversity to remain the ROH World Champion, Ultimo Guerrero will have a chance to dethrone Castle in the main event of the show.

Here is the complete card of the event

* Women of Honor Champion Sumie Sakai & Stella Grey vs. Gabby Ortiz & Riley Shepard
* Jenny Rose vs. Kelly Klein

* Jonathan Gresham vs. Kenny King
* The Briscoes & Punishment Martinez vs. Adam Page & The Young Bucks
* Jay Lethal vs. Chuckie T.
* Bully Ray vs. Cheeseburger
* Cody vs. Titan
ROH World Championship MatchDalton Castle (c) vs. Ultimo Guerrero

The next ROH PPV will be Best of the World on June 29, live from Baltimore. The main event was revealed last week in the weekly episode of Ring of Honor when Cody announced he challenge Dalton Castle for the ROH World Championship, as a rematch of last December’s match at Final Battle.

But things changed on this week’s show when it was made official that Marty Scurll has been added to make it a Triple Threat match. Back in April at ROH Masters of the Craft, Scurll defeated Castle to become the #1 contender for the title.

The stakes are getting higher and higher for Cody to win the title back as, this past weekend, at ROH Honor United: London, NWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis said if Cody wanted a shot at his title, then he wants a shot at the ROH World Championship.

So if Cody wins the ROH World Championship at ROH Best in the World against Dalton Castle on June 29, the Champion vs. Champion match against Aldis would take place at All In on September 1 in Chicago.
