TRACK OF THE DAY (08/02/2018): False Heads – ‘Retina’

If you haven’t heard of False Heads yet get ready for that to change; this Essex trio are already getting love from the likes of BBC Radio 1, NME, and Iggy Pop.

Having quickly graduated from playing half empty rooms in London and across the South, to supporting The Libertines, Josh Homme, & Band Of Skulls, the band emerge this spring for their own headline tour and debut shows in Europe.

New single ‘Retina’ combines quite possibly the catchiest bass line of all time with the fuzzy punk rock sounds of the 70s and 80s and the result is something pretty amazing. If The Jam and Slaves had a musical love child it might well sound like ‘Retina’.

Iggy Pop said about False Heads, “they are young and talented and going places…if they came to my town I’d show up for that, if they come to your town, you might wanna show up.”
