ROH “Final Battle” Card

Ring of Honor’s biggest event of the year, Final Battle, is taking place on December 15, live from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. One of the very first PPV created by Ring of Honor in 2002 with Glory by Honor, but the only one standing still, Final Battle is also the first ROH show to be broadcast live in 2009.This Land of epic battles is already full of promises. 2017 has been the most successful year in ROH history and this PPV should be the exclamation point of a phenomenal year.

After defeating Sanada at War of the Worlds UK in Liverpool, ROH World Champion Cody proclaimed that he had beaten everyone, but Dalton Castle interrupted him. Cody avoided a confrontation that night but attacked Castle the next night, injuring Castle’s shoulder. Dalton Castle came back at Global Wars: Chicago to issue a challenge for Cody’s Championship.

On October 20, Mark Briscoe turned on Ray, like his brother Jay did a month before, and attacked him and Tommy Dreamer with Jay. Velvet Sky had to come to Bully Ray’s aid during his attack. Kenny King will defend his title against 3 competitors, Punishment Martinez, Shane Taylor and Silas Young. Marty Scurll vs. Jay Lethal is announced as a Dream match, even if the NJPW title held by Scurll will not be on the line.
