Sleigh Bells Announce New Mini-Album, Share New Track ‘And Saints’

Sleigh Bells have announced a new mini-album, Kid KruschevThe 7 track record drops on November 10th, (almost) a year to the day since the release of their 4th studio album, Jessica Rabbit.

The band, made up of vocalist Alexis Krauss and ex-Poison The Well guitarist, Derek Miller, have also shared the track ‘And Saints’. With Krauss’s vocals front and centre, the sub-three minute track is dark, solemn, and full of that impassioned vocal performance which made Jessica Rabbit such an emotive experience. Take a listen, below.

Following the critical success of Jessica Rabbit, Krauss and Miller have found themselves more inspired than ever before. Krauss’s move out of Brooklyn to upstate New York gave the band a new place form which to work; the political climate gave them new topics to tackle, embracing both the personal and world-scale anxiety of the moment.

On the new record, Miller says; “Doesn’t feel like the sky is falling, feels more like it fell. Maybe a long time ago and it’s just more obvious now. Lots of friction and darkness as well as opposition to all that, which has been inspiring to see. Alexis moved north of Brooklyn recently, somewhere with trees and cliffs, providing us with a new space to write and record without pissing off neighbors, so that’s what we’ve been doing. We didn’t want to wait another year or two to release something. We like the idea of putting out shorter records at a more consistent rate, so we’re gonna give it a shot for a while, see how it feels. Thanks for listening. Take care.”

Kid Kruschev is out on November 10th via Lucky Number (EU) and the band’s own label, Torn Clean in the US.
